Students at Oxford University, Lady Margaret Hall, Tim's alma mater, were deeply affected by his work and formed the The Tim Hetherington Society in his memory.  Tim’s fellow alumni were inspired by his constant endeavours to raise awareness of human suffering, social injustices and inhuman conditions worldwide.  The Society seeks to continue the ideals he embodied through screenings, exhibitions, and discussions to keep these matters in the public domain, and to bring them to a wider audience worldwide.
