About the documentary:
In a chaotic and often dangerous Kinshasa nothing is certain. Three activists risk everything trying to unseat Joseph Kabila, who is refusing to relinquish control as promised. Congolese director Dieudo Hamadi (Mama Colonel) follows the young men as they attempt different tactics to mobilise a rebel generation amidst secret police on the lookout for trouble makers.
The jury comment:
"A brilliant insight into the struggle for democratic elections in DRC. The filmmaker provided us with a unique point of access into the internal organisation of the courageous activists campaigning for change, despite kidnap, arrest and torture. This is brave filming with a raw quality by a journalistic documentary filmmaker who truly merited the trust put in him. Highly informative and emotionally engaging."
