Stephen Mayes, Executive Director of the Tim Hetherington Trust, talks about Tim's lifelong endeavour to transcend the constraints of conventional media.  Using photography, video, words and limitless imagination Tim strove to create immersive experiences that represented more than the scenes depicted.  But for all the success he achieved in the fifteen years of his career Tim was just at the starting line when he died in Libya in 2011, and in some ways his strength is best described by the work that he developed but never completed.  Stephen will recap Tim's career highlights, share some unfulfilled plans and reflect on their last conversation about Tim's fascination for the front line and what it had taught him about masculinity, aggression, love and war.
